Most "liberals" I have known would rather watch paint dry then listen to a loud crude mouthed individual spew out simple minded rhetoric spoon feeding one politics. Liberals tend to NEVER buy into the hateful values a shock jock talking head broadcaster represents. There are news programs that liberals will tune into, NPR, and, PBS hourly news, but liberals tend to want more substance than a talk show can provide.

Pretty simple.

Liberal don't need constant reminders of the same things over and over again.

Conservatives do.

I'll let you draw your own conclusion as too who has more common sense and who is smarter.

(if you don't get it, look at Paul Glass's answer)

Liberals are not interested in wasting time listening to radio talk shows .
They prefer to listen to music because they are smart enough to know that talk radio is just entertainment for fools .

They do not even like to listen to liberals who speak the truth .

What is gained from talk radio ?
Nothing is what .

You can have all the talk you want but public protests and rallies are much more effective .

When was the last time you saw a conservative march or rally .
Prohibition maybe . Anti abortion demonstrations .
See liberals already know these things are a waste of time and support the ACLU and other organizations that make a change .
Green peace ,PETA and other liberal groups are huge advertisers on radio . LOL

I tune most of them out and tend to get much of my information by bouncing around on line and reading. MSNBC is actually a decent source for continual updates on line.

Neal Boortz I do listen to, but not for hours on end, merely on my way to work. I really like the guy and he bashes both sides of the fence.

I do have to say that I disagree with the "Fairness Doctrine" as that to me represents nothing more than legalized, political, coercion. If the Liberals weren't willing to support there own people, why should anyone else want that shoved down their throats?

The media as a whole are really suffering right now. Not necessarily from anything someone on the outside has done, but because of the fact that now, as opposed to the way it was at one time, money is ALL that matters. And because money is all that matters, freedom, liberty, and equality all go down the toilet, and we, as a people needing information and going to the media to get it, are left to the mercy of whatever tycoon pays the industry to allow this or ban that. If the integrity of the information presented was most important, then we wouldn't have to worry about having to listen to empty heads blowing of whatever hot air they've been told to, or having to endure entirely substanceless discussion because that's nearly all that's out there.

I don't get it. I listen to Stephanie Miller and Ed Schultz, both of whom are not aligned with Air America (which did NOT fail) and both of whom love the country. I don't hear or feel hatred when I listen to them. Some of the talkers on Air America, like Randi Rhodes, do get pretty fired up and angry, so I don't listen. Liberal talk radio hasn't failed, it is just not as loud as Conservative talk radio.
FYI: Al Franken hasn't been on Air America for going on about a year now. If you want to act like you know what's going on, do some research first.

Or maybe not enough liberals listen the radio.

By the way, aren't you painting all liberals with the same brush? I can point out plenty of liberals from this site that seem to represent hateful values.

You're right. Liberals are too objective to be spoon fed rhetoric unlike the right. Conservatives will agree with right wing talk show hosts even when they know the show is biased.

Are you asking a question or ranting on about your own opinion? Most liberals I know don't want to hear any opinion or slant other than their own. That's why they will ask a question here and then spoonfeed you the answer that they want. They not only won't accept the opinions of others, but they won't accept their right to even HAVE an opinion that differs from theirs. It's all about THEM.

THAT is why liberal talk shows fail. Liberals don't want to hear anyone but themselves give an opinion. They will accept "faux" news programs like NPR or PBS, but they can't accept an actual straight out opinion that belongs to someone else unless every word corresponds with their own opinions. Of course, even NPR and PBS can't survive on their own. They are propped up with government monies and private contributions. They can't exist in the competitive marketplace. There just isn't a significant market for them.

OMG,
Does your shoulder hurt from patting yourself and your buddies on the back too back? Liberals don't listen to talk radio because they too good for it?? Hateful values? Such as? People keeping more of their own money? Anytime you disagree with a liberal, you are hateful, racist, sexist, or homophobic!!
Puhlease!!!
Get over yourself!!

PS: If liberals are too good for talk radio, why are Senators looking to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine, so Liberals will be on the radio more??

The liberals have their media outlets, and the conservatives have theirs. The liberals want equal time on the radio, but are they willing to give equal space in the N.Y. Times op.ed section, or in the universities?

Liberal talk shows fail because Liberals have a flawed political view. Their positions cannot stand up to scrutiny, so they resort to name calling and slanderous accusations, none of which have any shred of truth or proof.

I take that back; they do tend to usually have one shred of truth in their positions. But from this shred, they use their misguided logic to come to completely erroneous conclusions.

When the error of their logic is brought to their attention, they deviate to their next talking point. When this has occurred for a number of minutes, each position being battered into the idiot pile, they eventually will return to their original talking point, and the process must start over again.

Until Conservatives realize they are discussing politics with a brick.
