whatever gets them the most political contributions. I get the feeling that niether really believe what they claim to stand for. That given the chance (unopposed) would enact none of the programs they claim to support.

I agree with you, it is whatever gets them the most contributions and the promise of the most votes. In other words, they tell us what they think we want to hear. Give the chance in the end they support the special interests that provided them with those contributions and the biggest gifts.

The major players in the party basically run the party & they do not represent the best interests of the people however there are a few on both sided who still have some sence of what they were voted in to do, work for the people. But those will never get to far because they dont break the rules to "help out " their party.

Oh, your right. These 2 political parties are owned by the same group of greedy bastards who own big corporations and who laugh all the way to the bank when people fight over which party is right when they both have the same ideas. I am a die hard conservative, but I vote Libertarian. Why is that? It's because the crooks have not hijacked that party and people in that party are smart enough as to who actually controls the 2 mainstream parties.

I can even give you a list of people who most likely control these 2 parties:
-David Rockefeller
-Dick Cheney
-George Soros
-Rupert Murdoch

Yes. It's hard to pinpoint exactly when America was sold off to special interest, but it has happened. The passing of the Amnesty bill is a perfect example. The failure of the CA special election is another.
