Honestly you never ever want to clean your coins. Cleaning them gives them an unnatural luster that a coin dealer will suspect and recognize right off the bat , they will not buy them in cleaned condition. Any kind of acid or anything that can be used to clean coins will also damage the metal as will the oils of the hands. If I were you I would leave them just the way they are, especially silver coins. If you do clean them the value will go down and eventually if you do it enough, it makes them worthless. Keep your investment intact and get good sleeves and hard plastic carriers. These will help slow the deterioration.

If they are collector coins you don't clean them period. To get off a little dirt and grease use acetone, then put coins in distilled water then let dry on a lint free cloth. Bleach reacts on some metals and changes the color and you will never get the color back to normal. Cleaned coins sell cheap or not at all.
