Okay. I went for a physical about two months ago, and I had a concern about a lump on my throat that came out of nowhere. Then My physican told me it was an infection, and he didnt know how got it. He gave me medication for it but it didnt work, in fact it grew a little bit. Then I went back today and his *** told me that it was a reaction from my acne[[wtf]]. He said he couldnt give me any medication for it, and now I'm left with this stupid thing[[not noticeable]]...but still. Does anyone have any idea what it is and how I can get it to go away??
I dont think my physician knows what hes talking about, but I cant get a new one untill the next couple of months when my mom gets new insurance. Can u help me? Any physicans out there, or people who've had a simular problem??

Could be a swollen lymph node in your neck. They swell up with infections and can take a while to go down. It could be something more serious so get it checked out by someone else. That is rare though.

A lymph node is part of the bodys waste system. If you look at the link below it will explain this to you.

I have an aunt who developed a lump in her neck. In her case it was due to her taking calcium pills. Basically her body had more calcium than it could utilize so it began depositing it elsewhere in her body, her neck in this case.

If you're taking dietary supplements or multivitamins it could be something similar. If you're not taking anything then it may be a good idea to get a second opinion when you can, just to be safe.

Good luck!

If you ever feel that less than 100% happy with the diagnosis your doctor has given you, always seek a second opinion - or third if you need to.

The cost to your health could be terrible if you don't and it turns out to be something bad which your doctor has overlooked. After all, they are only human and do make mistakes.

Don't mess about with it, if you are not happy get a second opinion and keep on until you have a proper explanation.
In UK this would not be a problem except for waiting time to se a specialist

Best wishes --- it may be nothing to worry about

if its by the lymnph nodes in the front under the jaw then there is a blood infection, is it internal under the skin and muscles and bones or on top of the skin?
