The key word is submit this is not a drag them over and put them over your knee. One out of love for the other submits ...wants to be guilt free from thier mis-behaviour and progess.

I would submit to a spanking because I feel I need it a lot of times. I would make sure that it would only be given when it's truely needed not because my husband is in a bad mood. I would also make sure that it was agreed upon first.

What you're talking about is Domestic Discipline, otherwise known as DD. I know quite a few couples who practise it - most commonly it's the husband who spanks the wife, though in some cases it's vice versa, or even that both partners are subject to spanking when needed.
Personally it wouldn't suit me, as for me spanking is essentially a fun/erotic activity. But for those who use it in their relationships, it does seem to work well - providing of course that it's wholly consensual. In which case there's no question of abuse.

Some couples have chosen an alternate lifestyle where there is a "Dominant" and "submissive" partner and spanking can be a part of that lifestyle. Not recommended for everyone and certainly spanking is not recommended in a more traditional marriage.

I only get a corrective spanking when I've been "naughty". Spanking, when a part of role play in sex, is okay(if the spankee agrees) Anything else is abuse. I'm not sure what you are reading....

yeah thats true. back in the olden days it was consdierd by law the mans' duty to " keep his wife in line " and he was allowed by law to beat her becuase if she messed up it was his responsbilty he was aslso supposed to beat teh children. the children & the wife were considerd his property so he could kill thme if he wanted. sad but true this is how it used to be in this very country.
