Well Dick has proven that if you give a man enough rope he will enslave a nation .

Exactly when did he state this? I see nothing about it in the news. I have not read about this statement earlier.

If he did say it, I would bet he is basing it upon the vice president role in the senate. However, I do not think that makes the vice president part of the legislative branch.

If Dick Cheney is planning on taking over the US, he had better get a hurry. He has about a year and a half left in office. Then he is out. His plans will mean nothing when he becomes an ex-vice president. I see people claiming all sorts of conspiracy stuff on Bush and Cheney and yet they offer no proof of any of it at all. In fact, what evidence there is shows pretty much the other way. These two are not the diabolical duo but more of incompetence.

This must be embarassing to you. Constitutional scholars have explained that the office of VP is not part of the executive branch nor the legislative branch. The founders needed a person to stand by for the presidency but without any power to determine policy since in the early days whoever came in second became VP. So the VP was isolated but involved in minimum way ie. President of the Senate.
Were you so contentious when Hillary refused to give up the names of her 400 odd advisors in her health care plan. Her explanation; she was not a member of the executive branch nor was she elected. The only difference is that Cheney is a constitutional office wherein Hillary was appointed by the President which did make her subject to the sunshine laws.

As most of my friends and I say, dick Cheney is nothing. He is just one of those crazy republicans that think they are in office, then can do whatever they want, including controlling America. I won't mind if the next election we have a republican president because the candidates look really good and would act upon situations we, as Americans, need help in. Though, i rather a democrat. Me and 65% of America do.

Dick Cheney thought he was above the law when he shot half of his friends face and wanted the victim to apologize.

Trust me in the next year there will be no more Cheney and evil politicians....Galatic Federation :) Know your history.

Amazing isn't it? If Cheney wanted a coup, how would he go about it? Our democracy could be scrapped and a new Constitution could be drawn up overnight. I could practically guarantee that ALL of our freedoms and rights that we take for granted would be forbidden. Oh, the thoughts I have about the government we have at the present!

Granted I do not know Cheney personally, but some of the CEO's I know do. They say he is a very likable person. Very old fashioned. He is not an evil person at all.

I'm wondering just how Cheney is going to be portrayed in history books. I have a sneaking suspicion it will NOT be very positive.
