It's not over yet, and outside sources (Iran, Syria for example) will help if we are clearly going to "win." This is far from over, and in the end it looks bad for us. So interested to see how you feel that Bush proved the nay sayers wrong.

I sense some sarcasm and you are probably one of the people that think we've lost. But I will tell you this war is far from being over. You can't predict the future, and I don't plan to, but the latest news for the past couple of weeks is that we are finally letting our soldiers do what they were trained to do. The way i see it is that we will have driven out or killed all of Al Qaida in no more than 6 months. Then there will be room to help that Iraq move forward. You can't invade a country and expect things to be like they are in the US in just a matter of a year. These things take time. All the ruckus from the Democrats is only because they have an election coming up in another year and they are trying to win. that's the only reason.

I too was against the war before the invasion. I also thought that we would not be able to handle the conflicts between the different factions in Iraq. I doubted that Bush would be successful in this venture that he was insisting on. Come to think of it, I still doubt.

Are you nuts?
I want you to say this out loud, and hear how it sounds:
"Having 160,000 troops in Iraq
(with about 100 dying every month)
and spending $250 million a day in Iraq
is the best use of those resources
in the war against terror."

nay sayers? I think there were 2 votes against the war. Nice try though. And if you knew all of those things, you should run for office

Yeah, I knew we were absolutely right to start a war over there when we found all those nukes and biological weapons.....oh wait, we didn't.....
Yeah well, we must've been right because we got Osama and the terrorists have completely vanished....oh wait...

really On some levels I believe your not trying to slur the efforts of our troops, but at another level I think you should know better.

I plan on moving to Baghdad next week and wearing an "Uncle Sam" costume just to celebrate exactly how "successful" we've been over there... NOT!
