what is this thing you call "family" how do I get one of those?

Things like vacations are discussed in a democratic style. All other decisions are made by the boss of the house....my wife. lol No, most things like vacations, how we should landscape the yard, what color to paint the walls, what style clothes to wear, etc. are discussed as a family. The only exception is household finances. That is discussed just between my wife an myself.

I think you need some details to your question....Me and hubby talk about major purchases and where to vacation and such. The kids have no input in a major decision about what is right for the family...is that old school?
