They're chopping up what he said in order to make it sound like he said he wasn't part of the Executive branch. It is deliberate dissembling on their part, and is inexcusable.

Cheney is arguing that the Office of the Vice Presidency does not meet the definition of an "executive branch agency" and is therefore exempt from oversight from the National Archives' Information Security Oversight Office. Their specific job is "ensuring that classified information and documents are properly handled by executive branch agencies."

The office of the VP is not a keeper of classified documents, and they have argued that it is not an "entity within the executive branch that comes into the possession of classified information." The liberals are chopping that into Cheney saing that the VP is not an "entity within the executive branch.", which is a deliberate falsehood.

Silly liberals and their childish semantics tricks.

He created the 4th Executive Branch and thinks he's above the law. It's all over the news. Cheney is a Dick.

Apparently he says he is not part of the Executive Branch, and people are saying Cheney has created a new branch of government. Knowing how he is an evil genius, I wouldn't doubt it.

I imagine he was part of the DNC's Talking Points today...I wager many of the posters get their faxes from Howie Dean every morning...I have noticed through the year I have been on here, there is a dog pile on a different subject every day...

He claimed NOT to be part of the executive branch.

This is so, as he states, the VP is NOT bound by the rules pertaining to executive secrecy.

Why? To allow him an out for abusing classified information for personal vendettas such as outing Valerie Plame.

edit: So the neo-con that supplies what the questioner WANTS to hear receives a "thanks". Typical of neo-cons
