I think it will be Hillary Clinton with maybe Biden (Obama maybe as VP but I think this would be a kiss of doom), for the Democrats.
For the Republicans I think Fred Thompson, but not Rudy as VP....greatest likelihood is probably amongst Gingrich, Romney, Hunter, and Huckabee.

My best guess right now for the Democrats is Edwards, Clinton or O'Bama. I seriously doubt Edwards will accept another VP slot on a ticket. My ideal Democrat candidate would be Gore but it really doesn't look like he wants to run.
Best guess with the Republicans is Thompson or Guliani. Again, it is questionable as to whether or not Guliani would be offered the VP spot or accept it. If a true conservative is nominate he may not be among the most popular choices for number 2.
Wingshooter: You play the typical Religious Right rhetorical game. A little bit of fact mixed with a lot of opinion. It is dishonest to say teh least. How does that square with your right wing religious beliefs?

Good picks, here is what I think right now:
Dem- Obama, Clark
Rep- Romney, Luger
Ind- Bloomberg, Hegel
These are all operating under the assumption that the candidates want ballanced tickets. So Obama and Romney get more moderate VPs. Wesley Clark is not running for Prez, but that might help him come choice for VP. Same with Luger (although I also think Guiliani might fill in here). And Bloomber, Hegel is mostly just to have a really strong ticket that supports a moderate, Independent position.
If Bloomberg, Hegel come out before other VPs are chosen you might see exactly what you are saying as both parties try to hold down their base for the election. Then: Obama, Edwards: Romney, Gingrich are the tickets.

I think you may be right on the Republican ticket, but don't count out Hillary to top the Democratic ticket. She has the dough needed to compete and has little problem getting more. She nearly always gets what she wants. I would never vote for her, though, she carries too much baggage. I believe Edwards would be her running mate.

If Thompson does get the nom, (say goodbye to the bill of rights and the Constitution), there is no way he would pick Guiliani, Thompson is a strict neo-con all the way, Guiliani is a moderate Republican at best. Very different views.
On a personal note, I do hope Obama gets it, loved his book.

initially, the form reported that the 2d optimum vote-getter (interior the electoral college) could be vp. each and each elector won 2 votes that they might supply to absolutely everyone, yet no longer the two to the comparable candidate. After some elections, it grew to grow to be sparkling that events have been each and each working 2 applicants, so as that electors could supply the two their votes to the comparable team. In 1800, there became a tie interior the electoral college by way of this, with the two Jefferson and Burr receiving an equivalent style of votes, in spite of the undeniable fact that it were meant for Jefferson to be the Presidential nominee and Burr the vp. as a results of this, the twelfth exchange became handed, isolating the balloting for President and Vice-President.

I would like to see Thompson/Brownback on the ticket. Thompson pretty much is a shoe in for the Presidency at this time, it's just going to be who is VP.
