America in its wisdom though tit best to get rid of the Iraq establishment post war!... It was the wrong thing to do and they are now suffering from their arrogance..
3000 plus American troops 100 plus British troops have died in the after math of the debacle. Tony Blair and George Bush and their respective governments carry the blame equally and Both these administrations should be held responsible for the chaos that has befallen Iraq..
However!
The Iraqi people do share some of the blame!. Getting rid of Saddam was a good thing, he was way beyond being evil - The deaths that have followed the war are largely down to infighting between the two main religious factions Sunni and shier Muslims who blame the Allies for the deaths and yet continue to use car truck and human bombs to kill their own people.
In hindsight it would have been better for all concerned if the allies had left well alone..
its great to be wise after the fact!.

The chaos in Iraq in wholly and entirely due to the Iraqis themselves.
It is not US/Allied servicemen who are killing hundreds everyday by the use of car bombs, mortars and snipers - it is Iraqi dissidents. Iraqi is killing Iraqi or to put it another way, Muslim is killing Muslim, wholly against the teaching of the Koran.
From one who has lived and worked in the Middle East, believe me when I say that this chaos is set to continue because if a Muslim does not have a foreign enemy to fight, he will fight with his nearest neighbour, even if he is his brother.

yes, but do you know the best thing about America.. its a bloody long way away from Iraq (and the UK) :-)
America would never relinquish its arms,or its armed forces,
Police removed intervention i suppose because of the chaos and the lack of police that stayed behind, unlike the poor of America, some were probably in a position where they had no chance nor means to escape the devastation.
Poverty in America hey!! now who would have thought that, just like the UK, poverty is OK because it doesn't interrupt the rich and wealthy lifestyle. And because its mostly out of sight its out of mind and out of press. shame on us all.

Right! It is the Iraqis fault we went to war with Iraq on a flimsy pretext, but had absolutely no plan on what to do once we "won". Bush said mission accomplished, but we are still there and it just keeps getting worse as the Army plays Keystone Kops chasing the bad guys from one part of Iraw to another. Queue the Benny Hill music.

No. The sectarian violence over there is one of the leading causes of violence.
If martial law were declared, people in general would respect the law. But we are always going to have a few scumbag elements in society. Its unavoidable.

It is like hitting a man in the toe with a hammer than charging him with disturbing the peace when he screams and hops around.
