I am 44 and would like some suggestions about eye makeup. I am a typical lady over 40. My eyes are not too droopy, but not like they were in my 20's! ANy ideas or advice for nice looks with makeup that are not too flashy but fun?

First of all, congratulations on being a mature and vibrant woman!
The cleaner and fresher your skin, the smoother and more natural your makeup will look. Exfoliate to remove the rough dead skin buildup. Follow with a toner on your face and neck and allow to dry a minute before applying moisturizer. Moisturizing gels help tighten the skin and moisturize without greasiness.
Makeup tips for mature skin: light and subtle does the trick.
1) Avoid matte finish foundations. These accentuate signs of aging. Use a lightweight foundation that has good coverage. Some of the new light-reflective foundations (without the sparkles) can diminish signs of aging.

2) Eye make up tip: Avoid "greasy" creams, particularly around the eye area they tend to bleed and gravitate toward creases. Moisturizing products designed specially for the eye area are best. Choose one that is non-greasy, reduces puffiness, and is light-reflective to hide dark circles (Example: Clinique "All about eyes").

3) Watch out for pressed powders. Some can make mature skin look caked.

4) Take the time to find out what colors suit you best, and blend colors with similar tones. Color can make all the difference.

5) Outlining the lips with a lipstick pencil will further help keep lipstick from feathering. Remember: Softer shades look more natural; lips look fuller.

Yes bare minerals is a good type to use. It is natural looking. Any time of mineral makeup is good. Also try clinique they have a nice variety of eye makeups for all ages and have some firming brands (no offence). If your are looking for something inexpensive but not to flashy and fun, N.Y.C. has a lose powder eyeshadow that comes in a variety of shades, its light and has a subtle shine to it.

well, dont wear dark eyeliner, itll make you look like your trying to be young. just stick to light colors, like a peachy eye shadow would be pretty. maybe with a tiny bit of light brown liner. depends on your skin color. just go with things light and natural.

Bare minerals is definately a product you should try. I use it myself and it is wonderful. It's very light, and you can find an eyeshadow in almost any shade...plus with or without shimmer. Try it, you'll love it. :)

I like to use L'oreal Visible Lift Firming face make-up. Make your make-up pretty natural. I wouldn't use blue, pink, green etc., eye shadow colors. I like to use browns because my skin color is brown.

CHANEL or CHRISTIAN DIOR.

These colors last all day even if it's pricy. There's a reason why they're pricy.
