there was a unsecure wirless network
what would 1 have to do to gain access to there Hard drive ?
if its possible ?

Assuming they had their computer turned on, and file sharing enabled, all you would have to do is connect to the network and browse to it through My Computer in Windows. If they don't have file sharing enabled, you're more or less out of luck, without breaking the law. (Actually, it's questionable if you're even breaking the law accessing their unsecured network without their permission)

It depends on their operating system, the wireless access is easy if it's truly unsecured.
Windows = very easy
Unix = Difficult, very!
Linux = Hard, but not impossible!
Solaris 10 = LOL....don't even try it.

That's "hacking" and hacking is illegal. So I would think hard before you attempt this act. But I'm not about to tell you how.
