Is it stupid to believe in horscopes?

i'm cancer the crab and i really think it matches me a lot but i dont know if i should believe in it. Are they really true?

This kind of belief needs to be analyzed, because it is not the same as religious belief or the belief in a moral principle. I have had the fortunate opportunity to be instructed by a professional jyotish (Indian astrologer) and I felt honored, blessed, and grateful for all of the lessons and/or information gained, but I felt sorry for him, because he asked me, "Do you believe in it?" I only said, "Yes," because I wanted him to share his knowledge, but I now conclude, after all of the information learned, that he should have asked me, "Do you understand it?" which would have helped his cause more, because belief separates the believers from the non-believers only. it does not allow anyone to grow, be skeptical, learn new concepts, or acquire new perspectives. I don't think it is stupid to believe in them, but it would be stupid to believe in it without being able to understand it.

Predictive astrology (otherwise known as the horoscopes you find in magazines) is a load of bs; too general to even be true for everyone. You shouldn't believe that - but then again, people who are intelligent enough must have figured out that predictive astrology is only a part of the collective of astrology, and that it is impossible to predict correctly for everyone who reads the magazines.

But people ask for it, so we have to provide. Call it mass-production astrology. It's not personal, it's just very general. Like pret-a-porter clothing.

Anyway, I assume you asked about the characteristics of Cancer? I can only say that, if you do match the typical characteristics of Cancer, chances are (and I would say 90% at least) that you have most of your personal planets in cancer... that would be why you might match your description while other cancers don't...

There is no reason to blindly "believe" when it is possible to know. Ask for evidence that can be tested for validation. If they make the claim then they must provide the evidence. No evidence, means the claim is false. No matter how long someone studies, it does not mean it works.

If astrology really works, it should be possible to design a test that satisfies both scientists and astrologers. Unfortunately, astrologers never specify what kind of test would be acceptable to them.

I think the description of the zodiac signs are true, but horoscopes are different. They try to tell you how your day is going to be and stuff, i don't believe in horoscopes, but the individual character straits of each sign is proven true to me.

It's not stupid. I personally don't believe in horoscopes but my personality is 90% of what it says for my horoscope, taurus. I think that you should believe in whatever you want as long as you dont hurt anyone. If you believe that your dog is God, ok, whatever, you believe in it so don't worry about what other people say.
Forget about what all these peope think, if you believe in astrology, then believe in it.
Everything in life is like that, I believe in Karma, that guy over there thinks its BS, but i believe in it.
She believes in horoscopes, that person doesn't, no one cares, she believes in it and if people judge you on that, then they are superficial, shallow people that you don't want in your life. Good luck

Well, horoscopes are well planned things... They ARE made up and if it goes too far it can be like worshipping them. They are fake, and they are just for fun.

absolutely believe it. My sign fits me to a tee, it describes me perfectly, my husbands fits him exactly and I've noticed that my daughter (only 18mths) has many of her signs characteristics. Believe it all.
