I'm going to be job hunting soon and I would like to know how much a big company offers their workers as starting pay. Now when I say big companies I mean any company ranging from Walmart to Borders to Nordstrom to Best Buy to Lasalle Bank ect...

Starting salaries depend on the job you are hired for and on your qualifications, and often on the particular location that you're working in. There's not just one "starting salary" for any company.

Companies are required to pay at least the minimum wage for your area.

Do you mean mininum wage jobs? I think min. wage is still 5.25, could be wrong though.
