My husband has been a egal resident for 17 years. He is only 40. He has sucessfully run his own company for 10 years. I want to get him out, because it is hard work. he is super smart, and he deserves a better job.

That depends on the university he's applying to. They have to review your previous transcripts and will decide if the courses you took previously are comparable to the courses they offer at that specific institution. Therefore, one college may not accept them while another may.

If this is for work, you should be ok. Most employers will consider work experience with more weight than a foreign degree.

There are some great colleges in Mexico (eg Monterrey Tech is one of the ten best business schools in the world, ahead of MIT and Stanford). However I agree with the other answers that his degree is a bit our of date but his work experience is bound to interest someone. Try some of the firms in his field in California.

Really it will be up to the companies he interviews with as to if they want to accept his degree or not. There are also some degree evaluation/translation services like SpanTran.

Nothing, it is way to old of a degree and he is no doubt an older worker and hard to place.
