Agreed. I like a lot of music, but am yet to hear a good rap song.. All it is is a really annoying "beat" with some guy with a really annoying voice saying (certainly not singing) really terrible "lyrics".. "yo..yo.. f*ck.. b*tch.. shoot.. yo.. sh*t mother f*cker.."... Seriously though, even if there were good lyrics, it would still sound awful!! There is NO musical talent, and no musical quality at all in rap!! I'd like to see some rapper pick up a guitar and play a riff or two.. they couldn't!! NO talent. Sounds like crap... NOT music! I have nothing against people who like rap, but I HATE it! Long live rock!!!!!

You are not a true music fan if you judge a whole genre of music based on what you hear on the radio. You would know that most mainstream music sucks (this includes rock too). I like all genres of music INCLUDING rock. I'm not going to sit here and try to change your opinion on rap music, because you have the right to not like it if you don't want to. I will say, however, that you don't know what you're talking about. You think that T-Pain, Shop Boyz and Huey represent rap music don't you? You're wrong. And as far as the voice enhancement thing goes, the ONLY album out of ANY genre of music that you will get without voice enhancement are live albums recorded directly from concerts. Other than that, every single cd you buy will have digitally enhanced voices no matter WHAT the genre is....if they left it the way it was recorded, lots of music would sound like garbage, not just rap.

Also, people who say all rap music talks about "ho's, money etc" are AGAIN basing their opinions on mainstream crap. You obviously haven't heard of Lupe Fiasco. Out of his THREE videos that have been put out this year, not one has a pimp, ho, scantily clad woman, or stack of money. Look him up.

I think it's just wrong to corner any particular type of music. I like it all. There are some rap songs that just blow, same as there are rock, country, jazz, classic, etc. songs that blow just the same. I can think of a few rock groups that need all that computerized s**t too. So come on now...use your brain and quit bashing something just because you prefer not to listen to it. Just another way to be racist...racist towards a specific type of music. That's a new low. Say you don't like it all you want but you don't have to bash it. I listen to everything and have a profound respect for any artist. What do you know about rap? If you think the best rapper dead or alive is Eminem, you know nothing. Rap is not about letting a geek make music, you can leave that too Rock. Rock is coming up slowly huh? Rap already surpassed Rock YEARS ago. Rock music doesn't sell anymore. Rap is always crushing Rock. Most adults like Hip Hop more than Rock. I like some Rock but not all. I wouldn't say it sucks, because that is ignorant. I always listen to Daft Punk. Linkin Park is cool too. Most African-American kids don't listen to Rock, but they might try to act like gangsters. So that must be different kids, as you said "wiggers". They could be rappers, you see what Eminem, Paul Wall, and Pitbull turned out to be. Don't judge Rap if you don't know it.

I don't know why people always hate what they don't understand. I love rap, hip hop, r&b, rock, alternative, emo (Selected) and heavy metal. Music is meant to open you up to new things and different understandings of the world. If you stay stuck with one genre of music you are missing out on a lot. A lot of my friends clown me cause I listen to what they call "white music" (I hate that term) but I tell them if you listen to it and listen to the lyrics and the beats they have for them you will be a fan too.

Stop hearing and listen.

And I don't like rap, by the way. But to say an entire genre of music sucks is retarded. There are good bands and bad bands in every genre of music. So that wasn't a comeback, it was a statement. I don't like emo music but there are probably good real emo songs but I have yet to hear any.

Rap and hip-hop have become sooooo overrated. All they sings about are drugs, guns, violence and anything else related to growing up in the hood or projects, how black people have it tough, etc. I don't want to sound racist here, but I can't stand this incentive (if that's even the proper word) whining. I know that there are black people who have gone on to be successful and have lucrative, fruitful careers, and I'm sure they don't appreciate other black people singing about how many hos they've slept with, being called the N-word by their own race, or other stereotypical stuff.

And the videos! OMG! Most if not all of them contain are an assortment of the aforementioned hos (at least 5-10), smoke from drugs, bottles of cristal, about $5000 worth of "bling" jewelry, about 7-8 Cadillac cars coming in at around $20,000 each, and other cliches, all from acts signed to record labels owned by P. Diddy, 50 Cent (perhaps) and other such acts that, IMO, have too much power. I'm sorry, but the RIAA need to get their acts together, and understand that all these crappy acts (along with stupid "screamo" and punk poseur crap) are the reason why they are losing money due to downloading and people taking advantage of free music. What we're downloading is stuff we would prefer to hear, as opposed to the RIAA forcing what they think is hot down our throats like spoonfuls of bad pablum. Stuff like this is the reason why we do what we do.

That said, I'm not wild about hip-hop, but Fergie and the Pussycat Dolls are HOT, HOT, HOT! Not only are they fine to look at, but their tracks are something I'd definitely shake my thang to! ;)

And hip hop doesn't suck, but you have to listen to the underground music, which is much much better than most of the mainstream stuff. R&B is the biggest load of rubbish for my area. this is fairly making a music and sounds extra like the detrimental artist is constipated or something. Take Boys to adult adult males to illustrate, crying to get right into a females's pants(ref i will make like to you.) As for rap music, this may well be slightly a contradiction.. Heard a music as quickly as, gave the impression of one guy grow to be enjoying drums whilst the different might desire to purely play 2 offkey notes on a piano whilst they're attempting to extra healthful as many F-words in each and each line as possible and that they call that music :-). call me biased, yet to me imaginitive rock is a good artwork variety.
