Just because he is divorced from her, that doesn't mean that every memory he has was a bad one. A wedding is a special day and he wants to remember it as a good memory. I see nothing wrong with having old pictures if they bring happy memories, and I don't think you should try to take them away from him.

I think he just keeps it because it is a "wedding picture", sort of a big deal. But it doesn't mean he is still attached to her or anything. The important thing is that he is with you now, and this means that he loves you more than anyone he ever loved.

So don't worry and make fresh new memories with your hubby. It's a long road!!

Because they're wedding pictures. It is part of his past, and weddings are a big deal. He married her for a good reason back then, and no one is completely happy when their marriage doesn't work out. Don't expect him to get rid of them, I'm sure they mean something to him. But you're part of his life now, so don't even worry about it.

Pictures are great to have. Keep in mind that these pictures are of the past not the present or future. He chose you, he is with you. If he wanted to be with his ex, he would be.
If they have kids, then those are good keepsakes for them. It's hard to throw away evidence of your life even if it's not special to you anymore, it is still a part of your life. I wouldn't be offended as long as they are put away. Wouldn't you want him to keep your wedding photos? Would you defend the right to keep photos if he wanted you to trash some?

Because they are a record of something that happened in his life.

Marrying you did not change his past. It just made his present and future better.

Life is so very short and fleeting. There is nothing at all wrong with wanting to remember everything in your life, good and bad. All of it brought him to now, with you. And that's a good thing, right?

Well, first off if they have children together than I think that's reason enough to keep them..especially if they're small children..that way he can give them to them when they are responsible enough to take care of them.
I think it's quite normal to keep them after all they do represent a milestone in your life...now if he takes them out all the time and gazes for hours at them.....that's a totally different story!!

There shouldn't be an issue with his keeping old pictures from his past. If he wants to put them on the mantle, that would be a different issue.

Are they his wedding pictures of his previous marriage? Not real clear here. ("Ex old")
If so, because regardless of what happened and who he's in love with now, that's a huge event in a person's life. How long was he with her? You don't just erase a whole part of your life.
As long as they're not hanging over your fireplace I wouldn't worry yourself about it!

I got rid of all of my old wedding pictures when I got remarried. It was a way for me to start new and begin a new llife.

sounds like it's just part of his past. an important part.
my husband and i have pics of old flames, i'm sure, but we don't get them out all the time, either.

if he's hanging onto them for comfort, then i'd be worried. if he just has them b/c they are his wedding pics, then stop worrying!

take care.
