Is everybody on here in a really jokey mood today, or are these questions that are coming up serious? I'm talking about the "great" leader Mugabe, the tooth "ferry", and now the famous jazz singer Louis Armstrong apparently landing on the moon.
I feel like I've stepped into the Twilight Zone!
Oh, and in case this is actually a genuine question: if there was a pin head that could be heated to the same temperature as the sun, it would kill a man from 250km away. So we won't be landing on the sun.

Um never. The sun is not a solid body, the surface temp is 5,800 degrees Kelvin (water boils at 373K). Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. Louis Armstrong was the famous trumpet player.

That would've been so funny. Louis Armstrong playing his trumpet on the moon.
p.s. Just think about it for a minute - it wouldn't really ever be practical for man to land on the Sun now would it.

Uh, never, unless they are on a suicide mission! They would get FRIED before they'd even have a chance to "land", which would also be impossible as the sun isn't land, it is a huge ball of gases, basically a large star.
P.S. NEIL Armstrong landed on the moon.

You obviously, do not believe that people from Earth went to the Moon. Do not joke either about the Sun. Ask people about vacations they went on, and came back very blistered by the sun ; so blistered that their skin was sagging, and a very good moisturiser had to be applied. Look at blistered and burnt people, ask them how they got burnt up.ALSO CONSIDER words to this song, and be wise : When the moon is in the seventh house, and Jupiter allies with Mars, the peace will rule the planets, this is the dawning of the age of Aquarius...... LET THE SUNSHINE in , the sunshine in.

Man will never land on the sun while it is still burning. No material man has discovered can survive the intense heat of the sun and we can't even look at it where we are now without it destroying our retinas so how the hell are we going to stand on it. We will be able to get on it when it has died but when that happens we will also have died of cold

Funny....
it was Neil Armstrong who landed on the moon in 1969
Louis Armstrong was a famous jazz musician who never made it into outer space....one of his most famous songs was "what a wonderful world" if you recall.
Landing on the sun is impossible for a whole number of reasons. such as it has no surface. it's too hot. it's too far away. etc

It is possible (0.000000000000000001% Chance) all man need to do is:
1.find a type of material that can handle temperatures of up to 15,000C for sustained periods of time.
2.Find a fuel that wont explode at temperatures of over 15,000C
3.Find a man(or women) crazy enough to go!
However there is one problem the sun has no solid surface so anything that lands on it will instantly sink.
Hope that answers your question!
