I posted a question about how Paris Hilton has recieved better media attention than the US Soliders that have been killed in Iraq. Over 100000 have died since 2003. 8 died this past Saturday. There are multiple Hilton posts with many answers to them. My post recived 6 answers. How can the world care more about Hilton than the men and women serving in the US Military that are protecting them from the forces of evil that are trying to hurt your way of living.

I have to apologize for being rude. It upsets me when it seems like the world dosnt know how valuable or US Military is to us. The saying "Freedom is not free" is so very true. We have soldiers, maybe not 100,000, but darn close, being killed so we can say we live in the land of the free.

Again I want to apologize to anyone that I may have offended.....

Because people in the U.S. have grown mentally fat and complacent. They don't appreciate their freedom and allow the media to guide them like sheep. It's tragic. I do my part to send items to the military through my church. Whether you support current Bush policies and the war or not, the men and women serving in the U.S. Military should have the undying and devoted love and respect of the American people. Unfortunately, some people are too stupid to understand how critical protecting our freedom really is!

1. The casualties are nowhere near 100,000. Hell my bank account is closer to the Hiltons than those numbers are to the truth.

2. Shadow cat - Love your description of Paris Hilton, now tell us how you really feel.

3. I agree with one thing. There is way too big a deal about Hilton doing "Hard" time. If you really give a **** about her, then you might want to take an inward look at your life and what is missing there.

Having said that, I did crack up everytime I read something about her finding God (I didnt know he was hanging in Gen-Pop), about her becoming a force for good and How she is going to stop "acting" dumb. Someone needs to tell her that she isnt that good and actress, she IS dumb.

I'm sick of hearing about Paris Hilton myself, but it's obvious that the reason why she gets so much coverage is because a lot people just can't get enough! If anything, I sort of wonder if people make it a point to focus on celebrities like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, because the stories about them offer a form of escapism. Everybody gets depressed hearing about the war, so some people see stories about celebrities in trouble as a sort of distraction from more serious issues, like the war in Iraq.

Is that not what the freedoms we fight for allow us though? The right to care about what we want? So wouldn't your telling us we are wrong be also wrong?

I do not give a **** about Nasty *** Hilton I think she is fugly and has no personality.
I care about the military and wish them well, but I also remember they signed up on their own free will to fight.

oh and about your link.. Like some site called Anti-War could not possibly use false numbers, please. Plus it says ESTIMATED between 23,000 and 100,000 that is a HUGE area to fill.

To the likes of kinkybootsno1... It matters when someone is using false information to make a point. If you want to come strong with something, then bring the truth not some bullshit website. SO kiss my ***.

Wow, I was just saying to a co-worker "Why does anyone really give a damn about some lil rich girl having to spend like what a week in jail?" There are more important things facing our world but for some reason or another both the media and the public seem to be more interested in this stupid idiot...same with the Britney Spears things too..Seriously, many people's priorities are completely out of whack...

Maybe more people respond to a Paris Hilton posting because it's about all their brain capacity will stretch to or they're here to just play about.....I hope it's not because they care more about her over the guys that are losing their lives for the sake of freedom.

I'm actually based in the UK but I can fully understand what you're saying - & by the way, you have no need to apologise to anyone, your point is a very valid point to be making.

Don't tell people how to feel. Keep your own house in order and don't concern yourself with anyone else's.

You fully admit that you posted a question even though there were other questions on that subject already. Then you used many exclamation points, which is a sure sign of ignorance. You have serious problems and you need to get off the internet and quit bugging people.

One Hundred Thousand?

Perhaps nobody is interested in playing your little game, especially since it's obvious you're not playing with a full deck.
