ok,so the new iphone coming out june29,omg i want it!how can i get it? obviously i have to shove 5 or 600$ at them for it but what else do i need? do i need a contract with AT&T to use the phone and for everything to work on it?How do i get it and be set to use it for anything it has to offer? thanks =]

First thing you must know to save time before purchase an Iphone:
You'll need to create an account with Apple's iTunes Store. Apple will require customers to establish a separate account with its online media service in addition to one with AT&T Wireless Services.

Second:
You can only purchase the iPhone nexth June 29th visiting AT&T retail store and Apple retail store (some are saying that Apple online store will sale the Iphone too).
iPhone first sale will be next June 29th in USA (6:00 P.M: Eastern Time and 6:00 P.M. Pacific Time).
Finally, price:
4GB model cost $499 with a two-year contract with AT&T and $599 for the 8GB version also with a two-year contract with AT&T.

So you want an iphone because.......?? Some people just don't understand what you're gettin yourself into. AT&T has horrible service. So how do you expect to use your phone if you can't get service? Yeah, you will be looking real cool....lol....Plus, you have to sign a 2 year contract with them! Oh yes and did I mention...there is no way of having INSURANCE on your phone???..a touch screen phone is VERY fragile, so unless you plan on babying it then plan on buying another one at FULL cost. Trust me you will NOT be cool because you have an iphone, you will just be the idiot who threw away a lot of money and you will probably throw away the iphone as well.
I will stick with my Blackberry and be merry.
But who ever does get an iphone I hope that the phone is worth the whole hype...

You can get it at an apple store but no store such as best buy will have it. I think you do need a contract..that is the catch on a lot of phones. The phone just comes with everything it has to offer, you dont need to buy them. But i am pretty sure you will need a contract.

People say the Iphone is over priced, well I payed 1000.00 for my N95 and had it before anyone else in the US... I would be willing to pay a grand for the I phone anyday... I think it's gonna be great... will be on the store friday morning.

I'm not sure but I bet if you call AT&T at the mall, they have a script of all the information to inform you and prepare you. I'm not usually a "gotta have it" type of gal, but I'd like it, maybe for this Christmas. It's niiice.

It's $500 with a new 2 contract. I certainly would never pay that.
Yes, you have to have Cingular/ATT.
