They are both graphics chips in the iMacs, I heard GeForce is the best. They are both 128mb though, does GeForce still look a lot better than the Radeon in the lower model iMacs?

This is not a question of companies like some people (necro) would like you to believe, noth nVidia and ATI make quality graphics cards. In this situation, the x1600 card is better. The X1600 is a midrange graphics card, while the 7300GT is a low end graphics card, so quite obviously the midrange card is going to outperform the low end graphics card.

i would go with the ATI.

i upgraded my 7600 to a 1600 before and noticed a bit better quality, so yours should be better

ATI is better and always will be. They are manufactured better, look better, less buggy, and run cooler. That is why most Nvidia cards come with large fans on them ;).
