Perhaps if everyone stops giving this individual the attention she clearly does not deserve she will go away. Don't pay her comments any mind, don't buy her books, don't watch the shows she appears on... she will fade away if no one pays attention. Everyone above has the right in this country to say what they want regardless of who they offend, but we have the right not to listen. The more attention we give them the more they will spew their brand of offense. It's also less needless stress and fighting amongst ourselves if we ignore them, right?

Islam Delenda Est is only partly right: Coulter was making a humorous reference to Bill Maher's similar comment about Cheney. But, she misquoted Maher.
In reviewing Maher's clip, it is clear that he never wished that Cheney had died in an attack. He was quoting what online commenters had said as a point of discussion. At the end, Maher did say 'that if he (Cheney) did die, other people would live'. He didn't specify a method. Rather more bland than Coulter's version.
Granted, these are fine distinctions, but if we believe Coulter's rationale in saying she never called John Edwards a f**, we must apply the same standard to Maher's words, and say he never wished that Cheney was assassinated.

Tsk! Tsk! You are dissembling (lying).
What Ann said was that since she was castigated for her joke about not saying what she thought of Edwards because she'd have to go to therapy, and since Bill Maher received no criticisms at all when he said, seriously, that he wished Cheney had been killed in a terrorist attack, then she obviously should have said she wished Edwards had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot.
Why must you make false statements about people you choose to dislike? That's pretty pathetic.

Wishes for Ann? Well, can't wait for the next book to come out, half the reason I like her is that libs just start foaming at the mouth when you say her name.

If I would say that about George Bush, I would be called a traitor. I have not, I would not say such a thing. The hypocrisy is astounding.

She was making a point by adding some context to a hypothetical situation... More that what you have done here.

She's a puppet of the GOP, and I take her with a grain of salt..
Imagine if some Dem. had said that about Dick Cheney on TV. S/He would be wiretapped, investigated, censored, andtaken off the air for good.
But Dems are less inclined to wish for violence against any fellow citizen, so they probably wouldn't do that..

I hope she keeps talking. The more she says lately, the more people realize how offensive conservative values are to good Americans.

I would never listen to or watch Ann Coulter, as it would make my face melt off.
However, if she did actually say that, she now qualifies as a terrorist.
When do you think she'll be transported to Gitmo?
