A friend borrowed my sneakers but returned them painted with shoe-whitening. I don't like the look (and he was a little sloppy), and prefer how they looked before. Does anyone know if there is a way to remove the stuff, so I can have the look of my sneakers back??

I have used nail polish remover. I am also told that K2R spot remover will also work to remove the shoe whitening.

Try finger nail polish remover in a not-so-noticable spot; works for white-out.

hmm. i dont think theres really anyhing you mcan do now. if you try and wiping it the leather will come off. [ are they nikes? ] but you can try scrubbing with toothpasttt and then wiping it, your kicks might smell like toothpast for a while, but let them dry then wipe it off with a wet wash cloths.
