Is it allowed to hang flyers on the streets of New York?

I hanged some flyers and people ripped them all off. I would like to know if it is allowed to hang flyers.

Probably not. NYC is pretty strict about stuff like that.

They even want to regulate noise!

Only in designated areas. Contact your chamber of commerce to find out where you can post them.
