Through what? The process of learning how to act, and learning a fun and exciting hobby that they can have with them for the rest of their lives?

I'm not talking Hollywood acting here - I'm talking plays and local theater.

I don't know your area at all, but I suggest looking in the calendar section of your local paper to find theatre companies close to you. Check out their websites if they have any or call them to see what they have going on. They may have summer programs or you you can see if they've announced their upcoming season of shows and you can see if there are any possible roles for your children. Check out StageAgent.com and MusicalTheatreAudition.com for information on specific shows, synopsis, character descriptions, etc.

You can also try backstage.com and do a casting search. I don't know that they will have much in your area so I wouldn't pay for the service, but you can do a free search and if something interesting happens to pop up you can probably find the rest of the info on your own.

By the way, theatre is a great experience for kids!

Good luck!
