There are many hotel and motel swimming pools that don't have lifeguards. The have a ring on the wall so if something happens you can help them. The pool is a popular place and there is usually a lot of people standing around, so if something does go wrong, there is usually someone to help you. They also recommend that you don't go swimming by yourself, just in case there isn't someone standing there with you. You have to swim at your own risk, and that saves the liability on the hotel or motel your staying at.

Most hotel and motel swimming pools do not have lifeguards, and they have signs stating "Swim at your own risk." The only places I have seen lifeguards is in the more resorty-type places like Walt Disney World, the all-inclusive resorts on the Riviera Maya south of Cancun, and of course Atlantis Paradise Island and places like that.

Yes, they insist that parents are with their children everytime they are in the pool. Since the motel is on private property, it doesn't have to have lifeguards.

Yes, a good number of them do, even high end hotels. From my experience, usually only resorts with larger pools with high volume actually have lifeguards, and those may not even have them during slow seasons.

nicely i be conscious of that the Waterpark of u.s. in Bloomington, MN has lifeguards. i've got self belief that a majority of lodges do no longer employ lifeguards through fact they do no longer want them, and from a employer point of view, they don't seem to be low-priced. They assume that if somebody is jogging by using or sitting by using the pool that they are going to make the attempt to save their fellow guy. Waterpark lodges employ their own lifeguards, as do the lodges with their own deepest sea coast, different clever they do no longer want them.

You swim at your own risk indeed...a in in any case they should post a sign that read "No Life Guard On Duty, Swim At Your Own Risk". I believe that this sign is good enough for them to avoid any responsibly in case someone should get "hurt".
