Why do americans have limited knowledge on foreign affairs, especially from the opposite side perspective? There is always an American perspective which is always right, and the other perspective which is always evil, bad and wrong?

We have really crummy News services. Newspaper readership has fallen off and our electronic media is controlled by Entertainment specialists looking for higher advertising revenue.
No matter what people think of the fairness doctrine - at least it could curb the Infotainment a bit.
I would LOVE to see someone from the public get on and ask WHY Nicole Smith's affairs are more important than international affairs.

I completely agree. Americans are isolated from the rest of the world, and can generally get by without having to know a second language and appreciate other cultures. So they tend to be ignorant of foreign affairs or just see things in "black in white" terms. "Americans are always right, they are always wrong." "Either you're with us or against us." This type of thinking is dangerous for a country that is the most powerful in the world.
