The American League leaders at this point are the Red Sox, Tigers, and Angles. The National League leaders at this point are the Mets, Brewers, and Diamondbacks. Which of these teams, if any, are at the biggest risk of not making the playoffs, and why?

Keep in mind that I am asking for those that won't make it as a wild card as well.

the diamondbacks won't hold off the padres forever. they took us on a magic ride in 2001 whe we needed it most, but this is not the year. lack of experience is the main reason, plus the fact that san diego will not be afraid to pick up an adam dunn or someone like him to help carry them the rest of the way. the diamondbacks are a lousy road team. don't discount the dodgers either, grady little knows how to win.

i still can't believe the brewers have held onto first place this long. i expected the astros, the cardinals, even the pirates or cubs to make a run at them but it hasn't happened yet. they DO have good starting pitching and can hit and run a bit, but i think the astros or cubs might just make things interesting for them before it's through. the brew crew is just one prince fielder injury away from coming unraveled. this division is up for grabs for whoever wants it come september, it should be fun to watch.

The NL West-leading Arizona Diamondbacks won't make the playoffs this year. Here come the surging San Diego Padres, with the best pitching in baseball, and a lot of upside around the diamond. Look for Adrian Gonzalez to carry them offensively in any given 2 week stretch. Michael Barrett gives them some consistency at catcher, and Mike Cameron is a valuable piece to any contender.

I love the D'Backs, and they will dominate this division. Just when they're not relying on Micah Owings and Jose Valverde.

The Brewers have not shown that they can be dominant for a long period. They are, however, in a weak division. But still, they are not gonna last until the end of the season.
The Angles, even thought they are hot right now, will not sustain their lead at the AL West. Because the Rangers, yes the Rangers is gonna pass them. The rangers have finally stabilized their rotation and is only going to get better.

i could say the tigers and whoever wins the NL West. all of the different communities have an extremely stable danger to win the WS, i think of a case could be made for the brewers, braves, phillies, rangers, yankees, and purple sox. the playoffs would be exciting, that's for particular BQ: i became on campus in an elementary paintings type (i'm an early adolescence training substantial)

brewers pitching is not so good as of now...mets WERE barely hanging on...they're getting better now though...diamondbacks have a risk though...padres are closing the gap....i think padres will win the NL west...as of now.
