I blame American values, and the "tolerance" of both sides.
There is no question that the liberal 60's crap has devastated America, but the Republicans are to blame on much of the problems in the dissolution of American society, the family, and the movement away from Christian values.
"Tolerance" for complete immorality and evil, is the new byproduct of both parties, and of America in general. The root of the problem is the new American god...and this new god has gone into every corner of American society and taken precedence over all other things...and that is the dollar bill.
While I am a conservative, I do believe evil and tolerance for evil is nearly as present in the Republican Party today as it has been in the Democratic Party. I agree Bush is no conservative, but he is a Republican and I think he has done far far more damage to America than Bill Clinton ever did (and I am very ashamed to say that).
I will continue to vote Republican, due to the other side being no alternative whatsoever ("progressive" is just another word for the quick dash to Hell)....and I agree that the Democratic Party today definitely lacks all morality...I do not find much hope in the Republican Party to turn that around, but rather the same agenda at a slower pace.

I am admittedly liberal (mostly), although I have some beliefs that I suppose cross the boundary to your side. Example: I do believe in the death penalty, and that it should be used more often.
I am also a high school math teacher, in a very conservative state (Utah).
Kids of all stripes rebel against their parents. I see this first hand. Liberal, and conservative parents.
This isn't a liberal/conservative problem.
This is an AMERICAN problem.
And by standing on one side of the aisle and hurling insults at the other, you are actually part of the problem.
I would suggest that you find a way to become part of the SOLUTION.
I agree, American values have fallen, terribly. Kids these days get away with so much more crap than those in my generation. I also agree that the media plays a big role. Parents need to stop working 80 hour work weeks and start spending more time with their children. You might call that a "liberal" notion, but how else can you supervise, censor, regulate, and regain control of these foul mouthed, baggy pants, and pregnant teens?
The cost might be your own personal bottom dollar. Less work means less pay...but it's for the sake of our children, and the sake of our COUNTRY.
Do it for AMERICA!!
As a teacher, I get lots of time with my kids. My two daughters are very well behaved, enjoy reading and school, don't play video games, and I would say live under a stricter roof than many of their "conservative" counterparts.

Democrats have family values as well. They just don't feel they are the only ones who own them in a world presumed to be divided only by liberals and conservatives. Expand your vision, open your mind, and you won't feel so threatened by it. Hillary Clinton stayed married in an unconscionable situation splashed all over the world to see and is criticized by many Republicans for it. Why was it not termed a family value in her case? Hillary Clinton was not talking about fighting family values when she was talking about fighting the opposition. I think its pretty obvious what she was talking about. I don't have to belittle you or myself by going into that. Hillary Clinton is pushing for teaching children the value of life rather than trying to make abortion illegal. Not a family value to you? All you wish to do is demonize half of the population of the U.S. when you only see one side of any issue in the area of politics. Rush Limbaugh will never unite America nor make her great. He is a divider of the worst kind.

.All family values have their flaws. You are talking about what is good for the gander is good for the geese.Let us not walk back into history. I just want to show you an example what conservative values stand for in a family.
Take this war it is run by a group of conservatives and conservative churches.Nearly 4000 sons and daughters are dead . How many family's have lost the breadwinners.their fathers and mothers.Nearly 25000 troops are injured and hundreds of them beyond repair. Here we get a higher rate of suicide and divorces. Just this war will create over 75,000 troubled families in America. It is not a liberal family issue but a conservative moral problem that has gone out of control.

I loved the America I knew as a boy.(WAS A REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN SENDING YOU ILLICIT E-MAILS?)
Most people were conservative, family values were high,(HI, I'M Rudy Giuliani i have 3 marriages. Hi I'm Newt Gingrich i have 2 marriages. Hi I'm John McCain i have two as well)
and moral values were high. (savings and loan scandal, RUSH LIMBAUGH POPPING PILLS THAT WEREN'T HIS) Nowadays, thanks to liberals, we have political correctness, (yeah its terrible to be polite)
pathetic juvenile rappers encouraging kids to be criminals (freedom of speech. you have the freedom to tell your kids not to listen to it.)
heavy drug use because of low drug laws (as an officer i have to disagree. MANY dealers are off the streets cause of the "war on drugs" and the laws haven't changed since the 80's)
and popularization by liberal hippies, kids rebelling against their parents (yeah because in the history of man, a child has never rebelled. [f*ck! i forgot about the 60's!]) and kids can't be disciplined properly because of liberal laws restricting parents from doing anything (once again, no laws [in Ohio] that say you cannot use force to discipline your child, [apparently you want to abuse them then, because that is what the laws prevent]) and our entertainment and media sources are not censored. (REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED MEDIA) (once again Rush Limbaugh was PROTECTED by the ACLU for his right to privacy)

I don't think so, I do think they don't respect their country and are spoiled as to what rights we have in this country. They don't realize how serious this war is and that nobody wants to go to war, but sometimes in grown-up land it has to be done.
I don't think they are totally responsible, of course they never take responsibility when they are anyways. I think they are definitely part of the problem and not part of the solution but they are only part of it, the people who don't care one way or another are the other part.
The media and Hollywood is a big part too, which I guess are mostly liberal so that's redundant

With all the corruption and sexual scandals from the Conservatives lately, I wouldn't talk so proudly about Conservative values!
Family values are taught family by family.
I have to correct part of your post..."Thanks to the Conservatives of today, many people now think it's OK to have sex with under age children", so don't go blaming Liberals for what today's Conservatives are doing.

Another lightning bolt thrown at the non-existant 'liberals'. The all purpose 'liberal' strawman is beginning to get really ragged. The reactionaries that have hijacked the GOP certainly have gotten a lot of mileage out of their constructed 'enemy'. By blaming their propaganda prop for everything, they don't have to explain anything. Folks...whenever you see a 'question' like the one above, give it a think....do you actually know people who 'hate' America....or anyone of the dozen of 'crimes' that the folks that pose these questions ask? Do this. Interview several dozens of people...ask them if theyr'e all for 'low values'......you won't find one in a carload. So much for the myth of the 'liberal'....what a bunch of BS!

I have been hearing Conservatroids spouting off about "Family Values" for 25 years, and not ONCE has any ONE of you been able to tell me exactly what those values ARE.
Are you talking about living like Leave It To Beaver, Mom stays home and constantly cleans, Dad works and expects his slippers, pipe and martini when he hits the door, the Patriarch, the MAN OF THE HOUSE Has Returned? He's the boss, he only has sons, and his wife may wheedle little things out of him but she has no real say in the marriage. Dad may not have had a GREAT job, but he apparently made enough for a fine house, the latest car (a sedan, of course- there were no Middle Aged Crazies in the 1950s), pearls for the lil Mrs, and Beaver's brand new two Wheeler (Gosh! It sure is SWELL Dad! Thanks!)
The movie "Pleasantville" addresses the same psychosis from which you seem to suffer. On the outside, everything seemed quiet and orderly and sane; on the inside, alcoholism, physical and emotional abuse, rape, incest, were how "traditional" families lived their lives. Those were times of suppression, sexism, hate, "Whites Only" Diners and RAMPANT paranoia about the threat of Communism, about British Rock and Roll and domestic Hillbilly Rock and Ska, about Beatniks who said incomprehensible things and smelled of odd smoke, longhairs, bell bottom jeans, "Peace" signs, ANYTHING which wasn't exactly like them..
