Yes, the website has your information, and the government can get it from the web site. What they get is you IP address, which is traceable back to you. Quite frankly, the government won't care or spend the time to go looking. I suggest you stop snooping on the web. You can get into trouble doing that. You can also get some nasty viruses.

They may obtain your IP address but only the ISP can give them Information on the person using that address at that given time. Most ISP's do not comply, and they don't have to, it's a right not a privilege in this case. it's a slim chance that the Gov even cares that you have a child porn fetish. Locally they may want to talk to you!

I agree with the first post. If you are a child yourself, please do not try to find child porn sites to report. They have plenty of people all over the country doing that.

The government can do whatever it wants via the Patriot Act.

More than likely the statement that came up saying it had all your personal information was trying to scare you. It worked apparently. Unless someone has installed a virus or keylogger, even a data collector (certain types of data), then they most likely don't have anything.

If you have nothing to do, instead of trying to find child porn sites, go to http://www.stumbleupon.com and put in categories that interest you. It will take you to a lot of interesting sites.

Under president Bush's Patriot Act, they can now spy on you (obtain your computer IP address) without a subpoena or warrant. .

But! I would not worry too much. It sounds like you can explain your actions.

However I assume you are a child and if this is true, frankly you have no business visiting child porn sites. The FBI has plenty of workers in pursuit of this sort of stuff ... they really don't need your help.

If anyone tries, they can get your information from the net. google does it all the time, so does yahoo and the bank and so forth ... they know when you use your credit cards and they go over all your messages with your friends. they even know i'm answering this.
how? each computer has an IP address and it can be traced to you. the funny thing is that real hackers know how to hide their address and not get caught.
