Pro-life. I believe abortion is murder.
I believe scientists only named the unborn baby a 'fetus' to dehumanize it.
I understand the hardships of one who becomes pregnant, yet is not ready to be a parent, but I DON'T understand why they had unprotected sex in the first place.

Pro-Choice.
It's important to realize the difference between Pro-Choice and what some would say "Pro-Abortion".
I think a woman should have the right to control her body and what she does with it.
1. I most likely would not get an abortion
2. Partial-birth abortions are myths. It was created by Pro-Life movement to make abortion seem more gruesome than it truly is. Before the Partial-birth law, it was illegal to perform an abortion after the 3rd trimester.. so this would never happen anyway:
defined by law:
"An abortion in which the person performing the abortion, deliberately and intentionally vaginally delivers a living fetus until, in the case of a head-first presentation, the entire fetal head is outside the body of the mother, or, in the case of breech presentation, any part of the fetal trunk past the navel is outside the body of the mother, for the purpose of performing an overt act that the person knows will kill the partially delivered living fetus; and performs the overt act, other than completion of delivery, that kills the partially delivered living fetus. (18 U.S. Code 1531)"
3. A fetus is considered to be able to possibly be able to survive on its own at the 3rd trimester, but it would be severely premature. Before the 3rd trimester, the fetus would not be able to feel its pain.

At what point is the division of cells considered alive . If interrupted by the intervention of the mother or doctors is it murder . Since on there own sperm is just sperm and an egg just an egg you have nothing .
Combine the two and you have something .
Once this occurs what protection is provided for the developing life .
Keep in mind we continue to develop into our twenties .
We lose our first set of teeth our bones continue to grow from conception on till they have fully developed some 20 years later .
So at what point do you call the union of egg and sperm that begins life life .
This is a simple matter when viewed from the point of those of us here .
would you want to have been aborted .
Definition of abort . to cause something to stop or fail before it begins or before it is complete:
Since my life at 45 years of age is not complete to stop it at anytime would be called what .? W
as my life aborted at age forty five by the armed robber .
So no matter when you terminate a life at age 80 or a week after conception you are committing what I believe to be a crime .
We can all drink just like we can all have sex and when you drive you commit a crime just as when you have an abortion .

Pro-choice.
Because it is a very personal decision a woman has to make for herself; logically, emotionally, medically & spiritually.
And even if abortion is banned, you will not stop women from seeking them out. It was the soaring mortality rate of child-bearing age women from back-alley abortions that spurred Roe v. Wade in the first place. It gave women the right to a safe, sterile procedure.
But more than that, I am pro-prevention & education.

I'm pro-life because being pro-life has less room for error.
Science has shown that from the moment of conception a zygote (then an embryo then a fetus) is genetically different from its mother and father. Size doesn't matter. ;) It seems to me if something's parents are human then it's human, too, until proven otherwise. If it is indeed human, then you have to worry about to what rights it is entitled. Is one of those rights the right to be born? Seems to me that's the right at the foundation of all of the rest of them because you can hardly enjoy being human if you don't get to be born.
Hope this helps & good luck.

Choice all the way. The day the government steps in and makes such a personal decision for me is a very scary one indeed.

Pro-Life:
A baby has a heartbeat, appendages, brain activity, and fingerprints at six months. Need I say more?
In my mind, abortion is no different than 1st Degree Murder unless the life of the mother is severely at risk or a woman has been sexually violated. Even then, it should be used only as a very very last resort.

I consider myself pro-choice. I think abortion is wrong but I do not think it should be illegal. I do, however, think late term and partial birth abortions are a disgusting practice and should be illegal.
