I think Iran probably does need and want nuclear power for peaceful reasons. Their energy infrastructure is outdated and out moded. At the same time they want nuclear power for military reasons as well. For that reason no one in the world (US, Arab World, Europe, or Israel) wants Iran to have Nuclear power. I agree with the world.... As long as Iran is run by apolyptic twelver Shi'a predicting the return of the hidden Imam to unite the world under an Islamic banner, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE NUCLEAR POWER.

Considering that our Vice-President Cheney apparently condoned the sale of nuclear technology to Iran through an offshore subsidiary when he worked for Halliburton after Iran had "already" been declared part of the axis of evil and it was declared illegal by the USA to sell them such, speaks volumes. It was not a huge sale, nevertheless, it WAS a sale.

Do an internet search and you'll find plenty of documentation that I speak the truth.

When it comes to what the government or media says about ~anything~ I usually only believe about 50% of it.

Yes, and don't forget that the US, Russia, and Israel had nukes before the signing of the nuclear non-proliferation act, banning any country that signed it from developing nukes. Iran signed it. They promised not to try to obtain nukes by doing so.

I think Iran is developing nuclear weapons with the intention of bombing Israel. At least that is what the Iranian President has said.

Israel and Russia are not utterley crazy, and nor have they sworn to commit genocide against a whole race (as has Iran)

I think we need to be very scared, and if they wont cease, they need to be invaded.

thats the tricky part, and something the West should not attempt. The developed and saner Arab states need to do this between themselves, or the UN using soldiers like Africans/ Far East nationalities (ie neutral parties) otherwise we will have a sitaution that makes Iraq look like a fight in a pool hall

A lot more countries than that have nuclear programs.

Unfortunately Iran is somewhat unstable, and the big concern is that Iran would actually USE said nuclear weapons.

I think that the US is sending the wrong message to rogue states...get nuclear weapons and we talk to you (Iran & Korea). Don't have nuclear weapons, and we invade you (Iraq & Afghanistan).

Put yourself in the shoes of a rogue nation...I know that I would try to develop nuclear weapons as fast as possible.

If the program were to be used for peaceful purposes, like generating electricity, or medical research, I would be for it.

However, it appears that their program is solely for the purpose of enriching uranium, and developing nuclear weapons.
FOR THAT REASON, IT MUST BE STOPPED

It doesn't bother me.

If they light off a nuke, it will make our lives much more interesting, that's all.

What can we do about it? The nuclear genie was let out of the bag in the 40's. No turning back now. North Korea, Iran...recipe for fun.
