I must have the most boring life in the world. I think I'm going on a date with Elmer Fudd! There is no way I can get out of it (he is my mom's best friend's son) so I will try to enjoy it if I can. The water heater is broken, so I will have to take a cold shower. I have nothing to wear, but luckily my sister isn't home, so I can raid her closet. GREAT!! And now I've lost my lipstick.

So it turns out that it is actually a group date with a bunch of Elmer's loser friends. They wanted to go bowling and then attend a scintillating discussion at the local library analyzing the accuracy of dialog in historical fiction. Not to be Johnny Raincloud , but......NOT going to happen. Not this girl, anyway. One of the guys asked why I didn't want to go to the library discussion, so I told him straight out. "Well, you're all boring and I'm fun."

We ended up skipping the library and just going bowling. When we got there, Elmer pulled out some surgical gloves so he wouldn't have to touch the rental shoes. He got them a size larger than his regular shoes so he could put on an extra pair of socks, which he would throw away before leaving. Could you get any more neurotic? The answer is, yes. He also had disinfectant wipes, and he would disinfect the finger holes in the bowling ball every time before he touched it. He was still wearing the gloves.

I thought the date would never end. When I finally got home, I told my mom that I will never go out with anyone even remotely related to any of her friends. On second thought, maybe I just won't go out any any more dates, period. I don't think I could keep my sanity through another date like this one. I'm going to call one of my girlfriends, and we will all go out and have some REAL fun. 'Cuz girls just wanna have fun. Men, can't live with them........ end of sentence.

"Great!! and now I've lost my lipstick. I'm never going to look pretty. CAn I borrow some of your makeup?"

"well, honastly, I'm jelous of you. I dont want to help you out. I mean he should have asked me."

"well, you're all boring and i'm fun, so that is why he picked me. Deal with it. You know we are a perfect match. I bet we will get married."

"ha! not to be Johnny Raincloud, but...NOT going to happen. You have not even gone out yet."

"So what. I just have this feeling. You know I have the whole evening planned out. First we will have dinner, then walk in the park and grab a desert, then..."

"Slow down. Could you be anymore neurotic? I mean you have your life planned out before you have even gone out."

"Just go away. I don't need your help getting ready"

"So, how did your big date go?"

"It stunk. It was nothing like I had planned."

"Come on, we'll go to a bar and have a girls night. You know you are to good for him."

"Yea you're right. Boy, men, you just cant live with them"
