Jealous is right, they abuse women who are their property! I think maybe the heat there and perhaps the lack of toilet paper may play a part as I would be pretty ticked off too with 120 heat and no tp! Did you know the men can not carry anything if their woman is with them? That women still walk 2 places behind a man, that he can sell her, she can only work under his supervision in a family business?

Couple of answers there: First, because America, at times, has been the leading (though possibly inadvertent) benefactor to the opressors of Islamist parties. In Egypt, the main Islamic party has been banned by the President/dictator so as to ensure his continued, unhindered rule. Since the US provides aid to that regime and everyone knows it, their supporters throughout the country (of which there are many) have a very, very low opinion of the US and its allies. Still, these are not the guys who blew up the WTC; their issues remain close to home.

As far as the "Militant Islam" of the Al Qaeda strain, let's face it -- that's not in the name of Islam, its in the name of anarchy and violence. Think about it: Has anyone ever formulated a plan of governance for their "Islamic state" beyond declarting war? Has Bin Laden consulted with any religious leader to authorize any of his attacks? Islam is a convenient excuse because it lends credibility to an inane call for violence -- but WE , at least, can read between the lines. Hell, 90% of the Islamic population of the world doesn't really give a crap what happens to Bin Laden or the Al Qaeda organization, certainly not from a "religiously significant" standpoint.

As for Iran -- well, for sure -- THAT'S an enemy! But it's not really Islamic as much as inter-political (the regime has accomplished nothing, and blaming the US deflects internal criticism), and it's not supported by the public as much as we'd like to think. When that regime gets evicted everything will be fine...

Maybe it is because we armed both sided in the Iran Iraq war and have been stirring up garbage in the middle east for decades.

We assisted an Israeli invasion and occupation of Palestine.

We armed and trained Osama and his band of thugs in the tactics of terrorism to attack the Soviets in Afghanistan. We created Frankensteins monster and it turned on us.

The list goes on and on.

Dont remember them declaring war on freedom. Show us link. I remember them declaring war on the united states based on our foreign policy (have no idea exactly which policies they object to, but thats what they say they dont like about us).....But to this day I have never seen anything in print, or heard anything from an audiotape where they say they are declaring war on freedom. It was president Bush who said that.

1- learn a bit of grammar, mispell all you want just learn basic grammar rules

2- the war is less about freedom and more about anger over us occuping and bombing their nations (9/11 commision)

3- cultures disagree and some war over it. to understand why someone hates us or anybody else for that matter you must now their mind-set. and you must know your nation's mind-set. because while it feels natural to you, it might be strange to others (even the majority of others)
