I took a pregnancy test and it's negative, so what are the other possibilities?

It could just be your nerves. You have probably been pretty stressed out wondering if you were pregnant. Drink plenty of fluid to replace what you're losing, and if it continues for more than a day or if you can't keep anything down, please go see your doctor.

Why would you automatically think your pregnant just because your throwing up? What about the first sign of pregnancy ... a missed/very light period? Breast tenderness? Than possibly morning sickness. The above answers are also right on. If the test is negative, its either a virus or maybe you should have a blood test for pregnancy vs a urine test. Some women don't have enough of the pregnancy hormone in their urine to have a positive urine test. See a doc if your symptoms continue.

You could have a stomach virus. There are also false negatives on pregnancy tests, so it wouldn't hurt to take another one.
