Did you know that Kool-Aid was invented in Hastings, Nebraska, the same town that just won the Yahoo "Greenest City" competition? That is about fifty miles from where I'm presently living. Kool-Aid has been distributed nationally since 1929. I don't know about world-wide distribution.
Yes, it was a big part of my childhood! We didn't have much money, so a big pitcher of icy Kool-Aid was quite a treat. All the flavors were good; I remember lime and black cherry as being two I especially liked.
In those days, our ice was cut from the river in the winter and stored, packed in straw, in our mostly below-ground ice house. The ice usually lasted until fall. Thanks for the good memories!

My favorite was any red one. My mom would let us pick out the flavors in the store and take turns making our favorites and all 5 of us had a different one. She also make pop circle's for us in the summer from Kool Aid and for birthday parties she would put fruit in it in a punch bowel with some frozen Kool Aide of the same flavor to keep it cold. What a walk down memory lane!

No, when I was a child, I didn't even know what Kool-Aid was! As I grew up in England, Kool-Aid was not a big part of my life at all as it doesn't exist there! But now I love it! My fave flavour has to be Grape! It rules!!xxx

No! I watched this program on TV when I was little about the people in the cult who drank the laced Kool-Aid and committed suicide...
It scarred me for life. I haven't had Kool-Aid since!

My mom made koolaid all the time. She hated how sweet it was so she always added lemon juice, no matter what the flavor, LOL.
I'd have to go with Cherry as my fave, minus the lemon juice :)

yes, i still drink kool-aid now and remember the old commercials. love red, pink lemonade, and sometimes grape. Some people say its sugar water but my teeth are healthy.

Yes. My brothers and I lived on the stuff in the summer. Our favorite was Sharkleberry. It is a mix of lemonade and grape which I don't think they make any more. You can mix the two together to get it now. Thanks for bringing back memories today.

OMG, wow you just brought back a memory. We use to make these huge pitchers of every flavor and sell it on the corners. Wow times have changed. I loved the blueberry and strawberry. :)

We used to drink gallons of the red fruit punch flavor. It was yummy!
