If my best friend had a million dollars, it would mean that he stole it off somebody!! He's my friend, but he's a scum-bucket and a leech!

Nothing! If they were truly my best friend, then I wouldn't care about if they had money, and they would be willing to share it if they were a real friend. Oh, I'd still want it. But money makes people do strange things. Can't put a price on true friendship.
