I don't really think he has had a failed Presidency. His "Godliness" should play no role in evaluating his overall performance.

First, GWB has been a strong leader on the war on terror. The limp-wristed, free-love hippies who want to run away from the war, make love and ignore an enemy that wants to kills us at all costs will destroy this country.
Second, we need more Christian leaders in this country. After the 60's, the liberal hippies have been continually eroding our moral values and look where it's gotten us. We need to bring our moral foundation back.
Third, assuming that all Christians support GWB is naive. At this point, I have lost all faith in GWB. He's sold his soul on this immigration bill, which will continue the bankruptcy of the country, both financially and morally.
We need to kick all lifelong Dems/Reps out of Washington and have a no-party system, representing ONLY the people.
Bert T - I'm a Christian and am saddened to know that you think all Christians are after your wallet. I can see why you have this impression, given our corrupt government and their constant desire to raise taxes to create more ineffective government social programs that don't work, all in the name of Christian values. However, this is not representative of all Christians. A lot of true Christians are caring individuals that care for people and will help people, regardless of their financial position.

Godly - my foot! The chimp was charged and convicted of at least two DUI's and he also had drug use and abuse records - his daddy got them expunged in the 1980's so there are no records. Also, he stood by during his terms as Governor in TX while 157 men and women were executed (some without the benefit of DNA testing to ensure that they actually did the crime they were charged with). I don't care what our Christians (now that's a myth) say or think, the Bible says "Thou Shalt Not Kill" yet they tout an "eye for an eye" philosophy. They also support partial birth abortions and abortions in general. Now just how sick can you get? Go ahead and call yourselves Christians - but what we have these days is a bunch of liars supporting an administration of nothing but liars!

Wow. 1/3 of the answerers invite the asker to either live under a rock or ask about his penis. Is this what Christianity has come to in America?
GWB is not a "Godly" man, I dont care how many times he claims to be "Born Again" (a practice I find detestable; DO anything you want, drugs, cheat, lie, have gay sex, whatever, then say youre "Born Again" and none of your debauchery counts. It's like a religious "Get Out of Hell Free Card" and it is that brown stuff which makes flowers grow, of the purest kind) and then go about committing even more grievous sins in an effort to enrich corporations in the US to the point where anyone working for them can be considered a slave.
GWB is not "Godly" as this implies Bush is "God-Like", and that is about the most audacious and offensive blasphemy I have ever heard. He is not "Sanctified", "Annointed" or "Canonized" either. The man can't even SPELL God more than 4 times in a row correctly.
By implying Bush and God ar eon equal terms, you now imply that God is a coke snorting drunk and a deserting Coward, not to mention a bully and a hypocrite.
Bush's "godly" philosophy is, "Give everything to the ones who already have everything, and everyone else can starve."
Neither "godly" OR Christian. Anyone who approaches me claiming to be Christian, from now on, I keep my hand on my wallet. They aren't to be trusted.

What makes you think all Christians support the presidents policies. I am constantly thrown under the bus as a Christian on here and classified as a narrow minded, uneducated bigot.
How about not putting people you don't know in a box. You don't know me and (like everyone else) I would liked to be judged only by those who know me personally.

You should read today's write-in by Senator Kit Bond (R-MO)to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He comments on how Abraham Lincoln was the subject of the same sort of rubbish that is thrown at President Bush today, and for largely the same reasons, primarily political.

Stereotype alert! Stereotype alert!
According to the last census, a minimum of 70% of the country is Christian, yet Bush has only a 30% approval rate right now. Suffice to say that a lot of Christians don't support the guy. I, for one, never have. This is not a Christian thing. This is a political left versus right thing.

Not bad, you managed two meld to insults into one question. Try for three next time. Or better yet, ask a serious question.

No, because I don't consider his presidency to have been a failure.
Just as I don't consider this type of question to have any intellectual merit.

I would hope that even the Christians could see the lack of Godliness in his actions. In his deceit, he has shown that he will break 'God's' rules in order to get his own way...
Going to church does not make one Christian...it is through his actions that we see his true beliefs...
