If you're left handed did your teachers try to make you change to right handed? An extra thumbs up if your ambidextrous. =)

LEFT-HANDED GENIUS, BABY! Whenever I say that to my family, they always tell me to sit down. =( Anyway, yes! I had a crazy, loco teacher in the 3rd grade. She would smash my hand with a ruler, book, or whatever was nearby if she caught me writing w/ my left hand. My knuckles were always bloody. She showed our class a picture of "Satan" and how he had the pitchfork in his left hand. She then had the class line up and made each of them tell me that my father was Satan. She did a lot worse stuff to me and I think my little 8-yr-old stomach was developing ulcers. To make a long story short, when my father (who was switched by Catholic school) found out what she was doing to me, he stormed down to the school, grabbed her, said HE was my father, NOT Satan and that if she EVER laid a hand on me again, he was going to kill her. Did she understand? Yes. (My father would neeever put his hand on a woman, but she was messing w/ his baby) All's well now, but it made me become ambidextrous in many activities.

I used to be ambidextrous but know I'm more using my right hand.

I''m actually ambidextrous from way back when I broke my arm in two places and had to learn how to do everything with the opposite one

I'm right-handed, but my oldest son is left-handed; I didn't just have problems with teachers, I had problems with family and friends too.

Predominately right handed with some left handed tendencies. I shot rifle left handed because it is easier to scope.

I can be ambidextrous but I use my right more. My boyfriend is the same as me.

I started out lefty, my catholic school teaches tied my left hand so i had to learn to be righty, now I'm ambidextrous!
