How about the Phillies? There closer to the Mets than the Braves are. If the Mets can keep the hot streak going and not have another meltdown. If not, the Phillies will continue the momentum that they've built and probably overtake them. Braves won't win, unless both teams mess up.

I am hopeful the Mets.
June was a disaster. But, thank you the Braves did not move up. Now if they can string together some wins in series and maybe get a nice 10 game win streak off, it could be the Mets year.
They do great in the late inning games and just have to to the same in the middle innings.
Hopeful

The Mets if it remains status quo. If the Phillies add a slugger or bullpen help, or if the Braves add a quality starter, then it could be real close. I think the Mets have the better lineup and would have some key guys coming off the DL, like Pedro, Chavez and Alou. If the Mets manage to add a starter like Oswalt or Contreras, then I think they walk with the division. Whoever finishes second I think will be the wildcard.

I, too, believe it's the Mets. The Braves recently had an extended streak of not scoring any runs, and while not completely overwhelmed, it seems that the powerful Mets lineup may start to pull away in the second half.

What worries me, however, is the Mets playoff performance. I think they'll have both 2000, and 2006, somewhere in the back of their minds (not to arouse trouble here, but look how close they were last year, and how they lost).

The Braves are struggling, and the Mets are just starting to catch fire. I think it's going to be tight, but the Mets will pull through. They have a very good offense, and can hit for power and use their speed to win ball games. They have pitching, too.

The Braves...what is it? One run in their last five games? Andruw Jones is struggling (below .200).

Mets definately.

The Phillies are also part of that race.

However, by the end of the season, the Mets will win that division by at least 6 games.
