i am trying to work out floor size to laminate my childs room

2.13m x 3.03m give or take a centimetre.

So 6.45 square metres.

Get 2.15m x 3.05 and you're safe...just a cm or two to trim off.

And if you want the math:

7ft x 12 = 84in x 2.54 = 2.13 approx

10ft x 12 = 120in x 2.54 = 3.03 approx

7ft by10ft to square meters

7 ft (0.3048m/ft) x 10 ft (0.3048m/ft) = 6.5032128m²

Normally you would now round to sigfigs
6.5 m²

multiply 70* 0.0929, if laminate means put linoleum down then the rectangle should be 7*0.305 by 10* 0.305 or 2.1 metrs by 3.05 meters

Convert the dimensions of the sides first, then multiply in metric. Can't recall whether you could do it the other way, and can't be bothered to check but the above is foolproof.
