These men have been in office too long in my opinion, over 20 years. AMericans are sick of congress not representing us.

Are any of these people from your state?

Why would you vote for them again?

Why should they be voted out?

Henry - just what sort of experience are you afraid of losing in the Senate? Read a bit about it, it might open your mind.

I find it interesting that those who would argue against term limits, limit their argument to points that are spewed endlessly by those in congress who want to remain in power.

Face it, the vote has failed, Congress has bought your vote. Open your eyes, study, learn and then see if you still want to hold your positions.

This is an excellent treatise on the subject.

I think there should be term limits for Congress too. Not as short as the President but not over 20 years either. They are beholden to too many special interest groups by then and forget that they SERVE us.

I don't like Russ Feingold either - he is my Senator. I will actively CAMPAIGN against him in the next election.

What's even worse is Robert Byrd from West Virginia will be in office for 54 years the next time he comes up for reelection (2012).

We need term limits not only for the President, but for the Senate (2 terms only) and the House (6 terms). But that would have to be approved by the House and Senate, and that will never happen.

i think the junior senators get it
but the senior senators live in their own world
i have been looking up my senators voting record
Mel Martinez FLA in since 2004
he has done well so far at representing me
he is very open about what he belives
Bill Nelson FLA in since 2001
has not supported what i want
however, the two are of different parties
even with this immigration bill
which most americans do not support
nelson voted for it
martinez voted against it

No, but Jesse Helms was from my state, NC, and was in the Senate for like 30 years. he was also an embarrassment, as he was a bigoted ******, but kept getting elected by the good ole boys. I was thrilled when that jerk left office.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Yes.....they're been there way to long and stopped listening to 'we the people' decades ago.
No, none are from my state--and the two that are (Comrade Feingold and Kohl) should get their walking papers too--although Feingold has been positioning himself for a VP spot for sometime--so I think we're well rid of him come election time.
No-I won't be voting for either of my Senators and YES, YES, YES they should be voted out!

Rest assured, anyone who has been in office over 10 hears (with few exceptions), has been bought and paid for. I don't care if they're Dems or Repubs. Time to clean the slate!!!

None from my state up there.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. Here is mine:
As long as the people in the states they represent are happy with their work and want to keept them in the Senate they should remain in the Senate. Also consider that if all Senators are rookies what a mess we would have. There has to be older more experienced people to help the newcomers along. None are from my state.
