photon needed to supply a given amount of heat greater than or smaller than the number of visible photons? Explain.

Concept- Energy and Electromagnetic Heat is a form of energy. One way to supply the heat needed to warm the object is to irradiate the object with electromagnetic waves. The object feels warm because it absorbs heat energy also referred to Infrared Radiation.

The energy of a photon is proportional to its frequency, so an infrared photon has lower energy than a visible photon.

Visible light rays have high frequency and hence more energy than infra red radiations

Quantum of energy of infra red radiation is 1.24 e.V.

X-rays have 12.4 e.V.

Less number of visible ray photons can give the same amount of heat given by more number infra red radiation
