I don't excuse what Chris Benoit did under any circumstances. It was horrible. I don't know what the plan was, but obviously it ended after the real life tragedy that occured during that time(Benoit). I don't think that WWE went about this the right way. I understand they wanted to distance themselves from him, given what he did. However, anyone who's old enough to remember Chris Benoit will remember that he worked for the WWE at one point in time, so therefore no matter how hard they try to hide it, Chris Benoit will always be a part of WWE history & WWE will always be apart of Chris Benoit's legacy as a wrestler.

Chris benoit is really dead. its on Abc news and on wikipedia. However Vince Mcmahon never died it was a publicity stunt and a story line. if you watch wrestling a lot Undertaker has "died" and has come to life from beyond the grave. How can you think that was real? one no other news station metioned it? 2. Did you see the camera and how he looked at it for a full 5 minutes and his limo just happened to exploded. and it took him another 3 minutes to get close the door and get into his car. So Most people knew it was fake. Also in Chris benoit case his wife, and his son are dead and their treating it as a murder-suicide case. and their was a 3 hour tribute to him and the WWE live show was cancelled and replaced by the tribute.

Sadly, Chris Benoit is truly dead. I was on the internet researching his death, and this is what I found.
Investigators have reported on Friday, June 22, Chris Benoit bound and strangled his wife Nancy.
Over the weekend, Benoit smothered his 7 year old son Daniel with a wrestling move called the "sleeper's hold." He then hung himself in his weight room.
On Monday, June 25, the police found the three bodies. They believe steroids and depression may have played a major role in the double murder-suicide of the Benoit Family.
The pressure of his son's diagnosis, which scientists can only refer to as Fragile-X Syndrome, also may have been what forced Benoit to "snap" in such a monstrous way.
People who knew him best say that he struggled for years to cope with his son's disease, but refused to talk about with anyone, even his own parents.
Police have recently found that Chris injected his son with steroids. It is possible to conclude that he thought the human growth hormones would make him larger, as Daniel was an incredibly small, short child.
Investigators are currently waiting for the toxicology reports to come back to continue their investigation. They may take several weeks to return.
Many pyschologists have said that Benoit may have believed that by killing his family, he was protecting them from the pain and humiliation associated with Daniel's disease.
Daniel was supposed to start school in the fall, and by being there, other people may have found out about his Fragile-X Syndrome.
In his mind, Benoit may have thought killing him would make him a better father. He may have thought he was protecting him from unknowing eyes.
Or, quite possibly, he had snapped, and had no reason for killing his 7 year old son and wife. Maybe, just maybe, he killed insanely, and had no rational thoughts.
Whatever was going through his mind at the time, no one knows. What investigators do know, however, is that justice must be served to the Benoit family.
The only way they know how to do that is to get to the bottom of this case, and figure out who really did this to the Benoit family.
WWE could only offer their condolences to the family of Nancy Benoit, and their sincerest apologies for airing a three-hour tribute to the 40-year old wrestler. They have stated they had no idea that Chris was behind the brutal murders.
My heart goes out to Nancy's and Chris's families. What a tragic way to die. May their souls rest peacefully in Heaven.
It's gonna take a long time to get over this and move on. I am devastated. It's definitley a shock to wrestling fans everywhere.
R.I.P. Chris Benoit

R.I.P. Nancy "Woman" Benoit
R.I.P. Daniel Benoit
Though the body is gone, the spirit will always remain.

The McMahon thing was just another storyline. Benoit murdered his wife and child and then himself. You cannot blame Vince for what Benoit did in his personal life. And, btw, everyone knew Vince was not dead. That whole thing was taped the day before the tv show!

1. Vince's "death" was obviously fake and WWE fans should know better.
2. Vince won't get fired. He OWNS the WWE.
3. Yes, Benoit is really dead. So is his family. It's an apparent double murder-suicide.

Yeah faking a death really isn't funny even if it is a marketing ploy of some kind, but that's McMahon. He makes really good business decisions which explains why he is as successful as he is, but he has made some stupid decisions which is why a lot of people don't like him. As for Benoit, yeah, that is true and very sad.

Stop watching the WWE if you want class, honesty and sanity. Yes Benoit is dead, more importantly so are his wife and child. As to how it happened, it is yet to be determined. As for Vince, he deserves an award in "Douchebaggery"
