I have had very little to no sickness during my pregnancy so far, I am 10w 4d. I have heard that boys make you less sick, can anyone accurately confirm this "rumor?" :)

old wives tales there are more to come

It's just a rumor. I was terribly sick with all three of my children - and I've had 2 girls and 1 boy. Gender didn't change anything. Same for my mother, my sisters and many of my friends I've talked to.

In fact, I was the MOST sick with my first child and he was a boy. I've actually heard this wive's tale in reverse (i.e. that it's boys who make their mammas more sick) so that's a good indicator it's just a rumor.

There IS one rumor that is true about morning sickness and that is some women (not all) find that morning sickness is not as bad with subsequent pregnancies.

All the best to you and baby!

I am pregnant (35 weeks) with my first, a boy. I can tell you that I had virtually no morning sickness. I got a little sick to my stomach some but never threw up and it never got out of hand to where I couldn't work or do the things I wanted. Hope that helps! Congrats to you too!

In my case it was actually true. I had morning sickness all the way up until I pushed my daughter out. With my son I had pretty much no morning sickness at all. The only thing is, with this pregnant I've had alot more pain in my back and tummy. With my daughter I LOVED being pregnant even with all the sickness.

well i cant because my sister in law was sick the whole way through her pregnancy and it was a boy although there are a lot of old wives tales that a re fun to listen to. i have also heard that a girl steals the mothers beauty so if you are carryinga girl you may look tierd and sick throughout your pregnancy, have fun with the tales you will get told

I am pregnant (37 wks) with my first - a girl. I was SICKER than SICK non-stop for the first 3 months.
From what I have read, it looks like anyone with morning sickness could have either a boy or a girl, but it looks like the one's without have boys ... or it could be a complete fluke ;O)
Good luck w/ whatever you may be having!!

I was barely sick with my son at all. But my sister had a little boy 2 months after me and she was sick through her entire pregnancy. Sorry just a myth.

Actually no in my case. I was very sick with the first, not sick at all with the other two, and all three were girls. Congrats on the coming arrival of your little one.
