Intelligent questions are cruel to MOST Yahoo Answerers only to the extent that those questions expose how ignorant the Answerers actually are when few provide an answer, and even fewer, IF ANY, an accurate one.
I wish that there would be an intelligent version of Yahoo Answers. I would love to go there to ask a long list of questions that I cannot ask here and you can figure out why. I just hope that I would be welcome there.

First define cruelty, intelligent, questions and YA.
Now lets hear from the 3 witches or 3 weird sisters from Shakespeare's MacBeth - because surely they know how to make a tasty brew and settle all questions.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.
Second Witch
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg and howlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
ALL
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Third Witch
Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf,
Witches' mummy, maw and gulf
Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark,
Root of hemlock digg'd i' the dark,
Liver of blaspheming Jew,
Gall of goat, and slips of yew
Sliver'd in the moon's eclipse,
Nose of Turk and Tartar's lips,
Finger of birth-strangled babe
Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,
Make the gruel thick and slab.
Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,
For the ingredients of our cauldron.
ALL
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Second Witch
Cool it with a baboon's blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.
Enter HECAT and the other three WITCHES.
HECATE
O well done! I commend your pains;
And every one shall share i' the gains;
And now about the cauldron sing,
Live elves and fairies in a ring
Enchanting all that you put in.

It is only cruel to liberals. Intelligent questions upset them very much, make them cranky, and then they have to blog all day. It's not nice to do to them. If your question is too intelligent, they will call the ACLU.

Absolutely! The majority of people here are badly educated lumpenproletarians.
Talk about stating the obvious! Wicked humour is wasted on them, of course.

Not necessarily. It is, however, pointless to ask questions that are going to lead you to answers you do not want to hear.
