Ah, well.......I was born in a farm house next to a barn. Does that count?

There wasn't a local hospital here in 1961 and since I was born at home and old Doc Reynolds delivered me, he didn't file a live birth record and I actually signed my own birth certificate when I was 13.

No, I haven't avoided it my whole life. My parents would ask if we'd born in a barn when we used to leave the door open. I was born at home, and at least one of them must have been present at my birth

Ya, my dad would ask us that all the time. And guess what I have asked my kids the same question and I have a sneaky feeling my grandchildren R going to hear it from me or their parents.

I would use "where you born in a field" cos barns have doors. and "where you born in a hospital with swinging doors"
