How would you have stopped the Titanic from sinking?

I would have made a welding gun out of silverware and flares and fixed the holes in the hull myself. I would use sealing wax made from the candles on board to go over the welds. Just a little thing I learned in the Boy Scouts.

All I know is if I were Macgyver, I would have no eyebrows due to the fact that I somehow burned them off. I am no good with fire.
I would fix the hole in the ship, with several bed mattresses, some alluminum foil and duct tape. No problem.

Tampons expand right?
i would gather all the tampons and blankets and wrap them up making one large plug or maybe serveral small ones and then insert it into the hole.
I might have also flooded the entire ship so that all pumps could have been removing water at the same time, instead of one compartment at a time over flowing the bulk heads.

Slightly shifted the world off its axis thereby causing an early version of global warming. This would have melted all the ice in Antarctica and there would have been no iceberg to sink the ship.

Well, could have tried not hitting that HUGE chunk of ice.
But, having watched MacGuyver quite a bit in the past, i would say, that MacGuyver would have concerned himself with forming some sort of flotation device or devices that would have allowed for more people to be saved from it rather then trying to stop it from sinking.

I'd have gotten a welding torch from a broom closset and welded the boat back together in about 3 minutes.

I would have constructed a floatation device by collecting all of the unused Jimmy Hats (condoms), filled them with air and connect them together with all of the thongs I could find.

he was pretty clever with little things he used he'd probably have hacked all the ice to shreds & then glued the hole up some how with chewing gum lol love him especially in stargate. good night s/e i'm hitting the sack have a good night

With some chewing gum and the corset stays (strings) from all the female passengers.
