ok i just got my period:( can i wear a tampon and still be able to swim? has anyone ever done that before.

Absolutely! There's the widely spread, yet incorrect, old wives' tale about your period stopping in water, but it's 100% false. I mean, if that were true, all women would spend that whole week of the month in the bathtub and never have to deal with their periods!
Tampons are 100% safe to wear in swimming pools. But just because you're in a pool doesn't mean you'll need a super absorbency tampon. Use the correct absorbency for whatever your flow is like that day. Remember to change your tampon when you get out of the pool. And try not to let the little sucker's string hang out!

Yup! Swimming with a tampon in while on your period is perfectly fine, so tampon away!
[Just make sure the string is well tucked in so it doesn't suddenly fall out and show. That's never happened to me, but it's horrible when someone see's it.]

You HAVE to wear a tampon if you want to swim! No tampon= no pool. Water does NOT stop a period and if you do not wear a tampon you will be bleeding in the pool.

yes it will be fine....probably just about any female who has had her period has used a tampon to swim before.

yes! tampons are made for swimming and being active! ive used them many times on my period and swam! :)

Everytime I had my period and needed to swim I used a tampon.
It's the most easiest and cleanest thing for you to do.
